Where does dust come from?

More dusty collections......

I've tried to create an Art Deco look to our second bathroom with an original round Deco Mirror and some silhouette prints.....

This is a lovely girly Ballet Dancer print in my Girls' room....

I really like the look of my hall and stairway at the moment.....not sure how long it will be before one of the pictures gets knocked off by one of the children though!...

Our rather overcrowded hallway.....an old leather trunk too full with shoes and boots....I need a bigger house!

That's all for now. Have a lovely day

Shabby Chic Paper Rose Garland

I had a go at making a garland of paper Roses to cover the unsightly gap at the top of my lounge window.......so from this....
To this..........

I wound each stem around the preceding stem......

I think it looks lovely and the roses only cost about £10 to buy and about an hour to make and put up.
Have a lovely day

My Rustic eclectic very much lived in kitchen....

It amazes me how some ladies out there manage to create magnificent shabby chic inspired homes full of amazing crafty ideas and crammed with eclectic bits and bobs as well as making their wonderful craft creations, raising a handful of kids,  keeping hubby happy and tending all their pets and gardens as well as holding down a job!.........you are superwomen and I take my hat off to you and thank you for enriching our lives!...there are so many inspiring blogs out there where you lovely ladies have allowed us to peek into your lives and drool over your lovely homes!......well I though I may as well share one or two areas of my home .....which is rather scruffy and lived in with a rustic shabby period charm.....its a working progress...

My stairs with Art Deco embroideries and Barbola flower pictures

I have a very small cramped hallway full of kids shoes and coats and nowhere to store them!

Our house has very small rooms and there really isn't space for me to display all my quilts and bead-spreads!

As you can see....piled up too high!

I have a load of mirrors put away in one of our storage rooms which I plan to get out and display if only I could find more wall space!

This is my small bathroom....

I have a few small collections of half dolls and other vintage bits and bobs which I love and  have on display collecting lots of dust I might add!

I wish I was good with my hands in a crafty way....I have lots of ideas in my head and I think I'm very creative but I can't sew for toffee ......I up-cycled these roman type blinds for my lounge ....... I bought them second hand as new ones are so expensive and added some lovely thick chemical lace trim to the bottoms and sewed some vintage lace trim along the tops ...even though they are a little too narrow I like how they look.....I have ordered blind string to add to the backs so that I can move them up and down... they look good from a distance but I'm sure all my sewing imperfections will be very noticeable up close!

As you can see I have too much clutter......the gorgeous green lush you can see through the window is our front garden which is more like a jungle but I love it....

Our lounge is the family room as well as my "photography studio" ha ha ha that sounds so grand but its basically the only part of the house that I can use to photograph my items for listing on my online stores ... I dare not show you the rest of this room which is packed to the ceiling with boxes of inventory that I am still trawling through and sorting to list on my Ets and eBay store.

I love my flower pictures....some are oils and some are prints....again I have many more in storage but alas no space to display them....!

My sweet little girl Rowan who is 8 said to me our house is full of flowers and boxes!

Well that's all for today I need to go and do some work!
Hope you enjoy and have a lovely day.
